The On-Board IS-1000 compresses and circulates helium in the closed-loop refrigeration system used by On-Board IS cryopumps. It is offered in low- and high-voltage configurations with intelligent system monitoring and network communication through the On-Board IS Controller. IS-1000 is a model designation rather than a complete configured-unit number; voltage, gauge, caster, connector, and control-module options must be established from the full manufacturer part number or nameplate
Configurations vary. Verify the exact unit before choosing a replacement.

Documented IS-1000 Configured Variants
The current Edwards catalog assigns separate part numbers to electrical and mechanical configurations. IS-1000 alone does not select one of these units.

Capacity depends on the attached cryopump models and system design; a universal pump-count limit should not be inferred from the model name.
Supported applicationsNew and existing On-Board IS cryopump systems
IS-8F capacityThe current Edwards compressor page states support for up to six On-Board IS-8F cryopumps.
General capacity statementThe 2021 Edwards data sheet describes one IS-1000 supporting up to five On-Board IS cryopumps generically. Use application-specific Edwards guidance when selecting a mixed or non-IS-8F system.
