Installation and glass-tube safety
- Mount the flowmeter within 6 degrees of true vertical, with the process inlet at the bottom and outlet at the top.
- For size 10, the protective sleeve must remain over the glass tube and the meter windows must remain securely fastened.
- Avoid pressure and flow surges, and do not service or repair the meter while it is pressurized.
- Brooks strongly recommends bypass piping so the meter can be isolated for cleaning and service.
- Introduce flow slowly and verify tube-to-scale zero alignment before operation.

Brooks identifies the GT1600 Series as configurable to retrofit Full-View 1100 Series meters, including Model 1110.
