Brooks GT1000 Glass-Tube Variable-Area Flowmeter
About this part
1020CKF1C91AA is a configured identifier from Brooks Instrument’s GT1000 industrial glass-tube variable-area flowmeter family. The 1020 model form denotes horizontal inlet and outlet orientation. The remaining legacy suffix must be matched against the unit nameplate and calibration record because available Brooks documentation does not directly decode this older suffix format
Configurations vary. Verify the exact unit before choosing a replacement.

Model identification boundary
The exact identifier uses an older configured-suffix format that is not decoded by the available 2018 Brooks GT1000 model-code table.
Operating and service notes
Brooks safety and installation requirements for GT1000 flowmeters.
- Mount the flowmeter within 6 degrees of true vertical, with the process inlet at the bottom and outlet at the top.
- Open process valves slowly and avoid pressure or flow surges; glass-tube failure can cause injury or equipment damage.
- Do not operate beyond the pressure or temperature limits for the configured meter size and connection type.
- Depressurize the process line before service. Drain liquid meters when isolated between closed valves to prevent thermal-expansion damage.
- The O-ring construction permits in-line removal of the glass tube for cleaning and maintenance.
Replacement relationship
Brooks identifies the GT1600 Series as the replacement family for GT1000 meters. GT1600 units can be configured as drop-in retrofits for GT1000 installations, but the replacement must be selected from the original meter’s flow range, tube and float, process conditions, wetted materials, connection geometry, scale, accuracy, valve, and alarm requirements.
