These instructions apply when the tube is installed in a Model 1358 meter.
- Mount the meter within 6 degrees of true vertical, with the inlet at the bottom.
- The standard installed-meter rating is 200 psig from 33°F to 250°F (1°C to 121°C); the CRN configuration is rated 100 psig over the same temperature range. The tube identifier does not establish which configuration applies.
- Glass breakage can occur even within stated limits. Brooks warns against toxic media and media that react with glass, specifically including water above 140°F, steam, alkalis, fluorine, hydrofluoric acid, and molten metal.
- Remove process-line pressure before service. Protect the float and glass tube during cleaning, replace packing when serviced, and have qualified personnel pressure-test the assembled meter before returning it to service.
