Configuration-dependent calibration

The 0550E restrictor and control-valve orifice are selected for the calibration gas, full-scale flow, and operating pressures. Brooks documentation warns that changing the gas or calibration conditions can shift the indicated flow and may require a different restrictor, orifice, and recalibration. The exact unit's gas, range, pressure conditions, fittings, and seal materials should therefore be verified from its calibration label or certificate before installation.
